Posey's seven F1 Cavapoo puppies had their four-week-old photoshoot yesterday. They are all little naturals at posing for the camera. It was their first time outside, and it was the perfect sunny day to introduce them to the big world they will soon be able to explore. They loved playing on the blanket, listening to all the sounds of the neighborhood: cars passing by, birds chirping, rusting leaves, and even an owl hooting.
We always give the puppies a litter theme. It's fun for us to pick names for the puppies while they are here with us, and it also helps us identify them (along with their collar colors). For Posey's puppies we decided on a nursery rhyme theme.
Boys: Little Jack Horner (yellow collar), Georgie Porgie (green collar), Simple Simon (orange collar), The Duke of York (red collar), and Little Boy Blue (blue collar).
Girls: Little Bo Peep (purple collar), and Little Nancy Etticoat (pink collar).
After a short playtime and adventure, the sounds of the outdoors put the pups to sleep. Mama Posey was inside, eating lunch, and having a short break from nursing so many babies. I'm sure she appreciated the break, but she doesn't like to be away from her babies for too long. After we took a few pictures of the puppies sleeping, we brought the puppies back inside to mama. How precious are these sweet sleepy puppies?
